Rough Milled Slabs
Our rough cut kiln dried slabs are kiln dried to between 6 and 8% in the core. These slabs are sold rough milled though many have the option of being wide belt sanded flat and finished as dining and conference tables or bar and kitchen island tops. Our slabs are "rescued" meaning that they were taken from dying, or deceased trees or those that had come down in a storm or had to be taken down for another reason. Some slabs have been air dried initially and others went into the kiln green. Our slabs are ready to be crafted into tables and tops, are pest free and of course kiln dried. We do NOT sell air dried hardwood as it is, in realty, wet wood. Our slabs will make furniture that will endure generations.
Our slabs are available for pick up at our Chicago, Illinois area retail locations and we also ship nationally.

Slabs and book-matched sets that require large fills or that are perfect for epoxy fills and river tables are sold only rough milled. Shipping and Crating: We ship our live edge slabs, sanded tops freight direct from our East Dundee and Gilberts, Illinois wood stores to your doorstep, or in the case of finished tops, directly to your room of choice with all crating materials being hauled away. In the case of larger tops and tables purchased with legs, your table will be assembled as well via our White Glove Deliver partner. We ship smaller tops UPS ground and use our trusted logistics partner to ship and deliver larger tops and tables.*
*We currently ship our table tops to the Continental U.S. only. Pick up is available at our East Dundee and Gilberts, IL showroom and wood store and we also deliver to the greater Chicago area.
